Weekend Getaway To Mumbai

With festive season around I found myself packed and stuck in between shoots, reviews and other festive collabs. My partner in crime and I decided to take a break from this busy life. We finally decided to go for a weekend holiday trip to Mumbai. With such a short notice and so much preparations to do for the upcoming trip ranging from making arrangements for stay and commuting we booked a round trip with Indigo and to my surprise this was the cheapest air fare we could get.

Here we come #Mumbai

It was an early morning fight and we landed in Mumbai on time as mentioned at the time of the flight take off. My friend’s ultimate motive was shopping, whereas I just wanted to relax, pamper myself with some spa and enjoy some me time. I was visiting Mumbai for the first time so we decided to first go to Juhu chowpatty and enjoy some lip-smacking street food. We also tried the famous vadapao at a local stall outside Church Gate Station. Keeping with its name this street food tasted best in its locale. Mumbai is the city which never sleeps and so we cherished the late night walks at Marine Drive. The beach was mesmerizing; I loved the feeling of the cool breeze and the long shoeless walk with the sand engulfing my feet. Mumbai city is a place like no other, I could see why this place is a dream place to be at.

Sitting by the waters, listening the waves roll up and down. What a feeling it is.

In the morning too, the sea offered the best of pan aroma as we inhaled the fresh air while the shore at Marine driver seemed to be the favourite spot for the fitness conscious localites. I decided to indulge in some yoga as well and bang on my entire stress and work load.

Akshita and I enjoying to the fullest.

Mumbai comes with an amalgamation of calm and high as one can get high on energy and fit in his/her party shoes and dance all night as the city offers the best of high end bars and pubs. Keeping up with my bestie’s spirit we went on to live the life of party animal and our spirits rose with the exuberance which this glam city offered.

Visiting the Mumbai Facebook office and oh boy how I love it.

Next day, I opted for a good spa and Akshita visited Facebook’s office and it is such a cool place to work in with all pepped souls working to bring out the best keeping in spirit with already existing features and maybe the Mumbai air had casted some magic on them as well.

With bags full of memories and of course all the shopped goods which my bestie got from high end South Mumbai brand stores to Santa Cruz flee market. We took Mumbai to Delhi flights and returned back . My first trip to Mumbai will always remain special to me. Share yours in the comments. Untill next stay happy and healthy.
