From Rajouri to California: A twist in the tale

California Boulevard Rajouri Garden

Rajouri Garden happens to be a place where we spend most of our time.  Its close promoxity to our office ensures that 50 percent of our meetings happen here every month. The place is loud and has it’s own charm. Yes, there are no two doubts on how much I love West Delhi. When it comes to food, Rajouri Garden has some good options. Near to the Metro station is the BK Dutt Market which has about 10 plus restaurants together. A fresh entrant to that is California Boulevard. Tastefully done interiors and an interesting menu, California Boulevard adds a different flavor to Rajouri.

California Boulevard

Weekend calls for something special and if you are planning for a special treat then this new place will surely delight you. The moment you step in at California Boulevard, the first thing that you notice is interiors. I generally like the vintage concept and the way the posters were used to create the American and Hollywood effect was good. Catering to a different segment that what goes to a pub, I guess California Boulevard is for those who need a change from the regular club culture.

The ambiance with the stylishly done furniture is quite upmarket and nice. It was a very fresh feel despite being a fine dining. We loved trying the Californian Punch and Caribbean Beach, which we are quite sure, will impress you too! Californian Punch was the right amount of sweetening that I needed to start the awesome treat. Though, it was quite filling and wholsesome, we did have more..

We started with a Nachos platter because I was way too hungry and that obviously was the fastest that we could have. We tried their Spring Rolls, Mezze Platter, Paneer Tikka,  Chef Special Pizza and a small portion of their Indian Maincouse too. The spring Rolls were quite crisp and non at all oily. I hate it when I see greasy spring rolls at good places(or anywhere actually). While the food was quite good I cannot miss to mention the service which was impeccable as well. I was there with my Mom who had ordered a Mix Vegetable which did not come as she had thought. While we happily insisted on leaving as we were getting late, our server insisted and got us a portion of Paneer for us to taste.

The food fared good in taste. I am sure Chef Niti Pal Singh has already been getting it, but I liked the Pizza a lot. Crisp and quite flavoursome. A good place to spend some me time when in Rajouri.
